Partners for Better Eye Care

The collaboration between Dr. Joe Ales, owner of OPTIK Birmingham, and Dr. Timothy Page, partner at Oakland Ophthalmic Surgery in Troy and Birmingham, is founded on common interests and dedication to service. The eye care specialists have known each other for 20 years; together they’ve been on nine overseas missions, at their own expense, offering eye exams, cataract surgery, and treating eye diseases. For the past three years, Dr. Joe has managed Oakland Ophthalmic’s eyewear department. They also share a global view about eye care and eyewear. Dr. Page, an accomplished scientific author and inventor, crisscrosses the globe presenting his work on groundbreaking refractive cornea and cataract surgery. Dr. Joe travels across the country and to Europe buying for the three OPTIK Birmingham shops, where he showcases a tightly edited selection of contemporary and vintage eyewear — most are exclusive to OPTIK — and sourcing industry-leading technology for his exam rooms. Indeed, their partnership adds up to eye care excellence.
