“Every guest brings an opportunity to create a lifetime friend.” — Chef Jeff Baldwin

Starting as a 21-year-old executive chef in 1981 at the renowned Van Dyke Place Restaurant, Chef Jeff Baldwin’s principled views have brought him and his family culinary prestige.

Since 2004, Baldwin and his wife, Rosemarie (who serves as the chief marketing/financial officer), have overseen the growth of J. Baldwin’s, their flagship restaurant located in Clinton Township. For years they’ve boasted a modern American menu; Baldwin’s award-winning calamari is a headliner.

Baldwin’s youngest son, Michael, and his fiancée, Gabriella Rodriguez, have built onto the legacy with a fresh, local approach to this contemporary Italian menu at their own restaurant, Testa Barra in Macomb.

Jeff Baldwin Jr., the couple’s elder son, drives the front of the house experience and serves as the director of operations/sommelier for both locations.

Building a customer-focused and family-oriented foundation, BRG is poised for explosive growth. Innovative concepts are in the works, and the next generation is shaping the future of the brand.
