Brain Injury Association of Michigan

Give Detroit - A Charitable Registry

The Brain Injury Association of Michigan’s mission is to improve the lives of those affected by brain injury, and to reduce the number of brain injuries and their impact through education, advocacy, support, treatment services, and research.

Support: We administer 20 chapters and support groups across the state, offer social opportunities to survivors and their families, and maintain outreach programs to survivors, family members, caregivers, agencies, and various communities.

Education: We offer certification programs and hold conferences and webinars throughout the year focused on educating communities and professionals about brain injury. We also offer educational opportunities at the grassroots level via presentations by rehabilitative professionals.

Advocacy: We monitor and maintain a presence with state and federal government in conjunction with the Brain Injury Association of America, where we promote policies and legislation designed to prevent brain injury and enhance the care, services, and support available to survivors and their families. Additionally, we ensure officials at the state and federal levels remain aware of current issues.
