// MISSION

The mission of the Detroit Public Schools Foundation is to create and enhance educational opportunities for Detroit Public Schools Community District students.

// KEY SERVICES PROVIDED

The Foundation provides students with the tools required for success inside and outside the classroom. We believe that by investing in these future leaders, we also strengthen families and our communities. We accomplish this by investing in four primary areas: Literacy and Early Childhood Education; STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math); Career Pathways; and Experiences Beyond the Classroom. We are committed to supporting these strategic priorities and helping thousands of DPSCD students and teachers annually. From 2016-2018, we distributed over $3.5 million in grants to schools, teachers, and nonprofit organizations, resulting in our students receiving new technology, scholarships, state-of-the-art resources, opportunities for career development and education, and access to field trips and other programs offered by dozens of cultural arts organizations.
