Gilda's Club Metro Detroit
Give Detroit - A Charitable Registry
Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit ensures that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. We offer free support to everyone living with cancer.
// KEY SERVICES PROVIDED
Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit serves diagnosed patients, family members, friends, and caregivers. For members, the Clubhouse is a place of education, healing, and support. More than 1,000 visits are made each month to the Clubhouse in Royal Oak, and through partnerships with cancer centers throughout southeast Michigan.
With more than 160 program activities, Gilda’s Club is the premier provider of psychosocial support, education and wellness. Support groups for specific diagnoses and options for caregivers, educational lectures from top health care professionals, healthy lifestyle workshops, art and music therapy, and social events make up the programming. Sharing a cancer journey with others — whether personally diagnosed or impacted through the diagnosis of a loved one — makes traveling the path a little less daunting, and outcomes can be greatly improved.
