Join the ACLU of Michigan as it celebrates its 50th anniversary at the Annual Dinner, from 6 – 10 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, located at 1114 Washington Boulevard in Detroit. The evening features a cocktail reception, silent auction and dinner followed by a special tribute to the ACLU of Michigan founders. Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, who was named to the Time 100, Time Magazine's list of the world's 100 most influential people, delivers the keynote address. Huffington is the author of 12 books, including "The Woman behind the Legend," a biography of Maria Callas that became an international bestseller. The 2009 Annual Dinner highlights the key issues and initiatives that have challenged and defined the ACLU for the last five decades, acknowledges the contributions of its founders and honors their legacy.
