On Saturday, October 6, the Southeast Michigan McDonald’s Operators Association and DTE Energy present the 8th annual Ronald McDonald House Gala to benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses of Ann Arbor and Detroit. The fundraiser will be held at Joe Louis Arena (600 Civic Center Drive, Detroit) and begins at 6:30 p.m.
Legendary WXYZ-TV 7 news anchor, Diana Lewis, will emcee the Ronald McDonald House Gala. This year’s event will feature a strolling dinner and wine tasting, silent and live auctions, tours of the exclusive Red Wings locker room and an afterglow reception in the Legends Club. Retired Red Wings greats Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby, and their wives Julie and Wendy, respectively, will serve as Honorary Chairs.
The Ronald McDonald Houses of Ann Arbor and Detroit are a “home away from home” for thousands of families with children undergoing medical care. The national and local chapters of Ronald McDonald House Charities help support new and existing Ronald McDonald Houses with seed money and grants. However, each House must rely on the generosity of people and businesses within its own community to provide the majority of the funds necessary for day-to-day operations.
Tickets are $250 and can be purchased by calling 734-528-1455 or visiting RMHgala.com.
