When Joe's nephew was born with Down syndrome 24 years ago, Joe began helping individuals with Down syndrome. He has continued this tradition by supporting Band of Angels. Band of Angels helps children and adults with Down syndrome and other cognitive challenges in every stage of their lives; from infancy through school and now into adult competitive employment. This organization is able to make the dream of being independent come true. The Joe Bologna 12th Annual Golf Outing for Down syndrome will take place on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Greystone Golf Club at 32 and Mound. Expect some friendly competition on the links! Bologna has involved business associates, clients and politicians to make the event one of the premier charity golf events in Metro Detroit. Proceeds from the day help children and adults with Down syndrome through Band of Angels, a Rochester Hills based non-profit. |
