General Motors Vice Chairman and Senior Advisor Bob Lutz will be “roasted and toasted” at the Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter’s annual fundraising Tribute event on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan.  “An Evening of Roasting & Toasting in Honor of Bob Lutz” is a celebration designed to shake things up -- just as the auto industry legend has done throughout his esteemed career.

 

 

 

            The Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter has a long-standing history of honoring leaders who have impacted the community in which they live.  Because arthritis is the leading cause of disability in Michigan, as well as the leading cause of industrial absenteeism nationwide, it is particularly applicable that Mr. Lutz will be honored for his leadership in the automobile industry and the community at large.           

 

           

 

            “An Evening of Roasting & Toasting in Honor of Bob Lutz” will begin with a cocktail reception leading into dinner, followed by what is anticipated to be an exuberant evening of roasting and toasting Bob Lutz, the ultimate “tell it like it is” car guy.  

 

           

 

            A silent auction featuring a variety of exciting items such as vacation getaways, tickets to sporting events and more, will also be held throughout the evening.

 

 

 

 

            Expected distinguished guests include Fritz Henderson, General Motors President and Tribute Event Chairman; Debbie Stabenow, U.S. Senator, Michigan; as well as “surprise guest” video tributes to Mr. Lutz.

 

 

 

            Tickets to attend “An Evening of Roasting & Toasting in Honor of Bob Lutz” are available now for public purchase. Individual reservations are $300 per person for admission to the general cocktail reception and dinner. There is also an individual “Patron” ticket for $500 per person which includes admission to a “VIP” cocktail reception, premium dinner seating and recognition in the program.  Corporate sponsorships are also available.             Proceeds from tickets sales and the silent auction will benefit the Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter’s research into the prevention, control and cure of arthritis -- the nation’s leading cause of disability.
