Requirements: Qualified students will have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. We are looking for hard-working individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment, are willing to take on new task and enjoy working with the public. Professionalism and organization are a must.
Job Description: An office intern will assist the Office Manager, Publisher, Sales Department and other departments as needed. Will work directly with the receptionist on the day-to-day departmental functions including answering telephones, filing, spreadsheet creation, auditing expense report and other office duties.

Preferred major: Journalism, communications, or English.
Requirements: Candidates must be proficient in grammar and spelling, write clearly, possess good organizational skills and be detail oriented. They should work calmly under deadline pressure and have a pleasant, polite demeanor on the phone.
Job description: Some writing is involved, but the internship consists mainly of fact-checking stories. Compiling arts and entertainment listings is also a requirement. Interns may be asked to pick up and return products for photo shoots (gas mileage will be reimbursed). Interns are encouraged to offer story ideas at editorial meetings and are expected to keep abreast of current events.

The web editorial web intern should also possess proven knowledge of the Adobe Suite of products, be familiar with a range of content management systems, and be comfortable working with Mac OS.
Job description: Some writing is involved, but the internship consists mainly of repackaging magazine content for the web. This includes creating web banners using existing art, adding social media tags to stories, and reformatting text to fit the web. Familiarity with basic HTML and comfort with CMS is required. A photography/graphic arts background or ability is helpful for the web-intern position.

Hour Custom Publishing, a division of Hour Media, is proud to offer graphic design internships during all semesters. Ideal candidates will work a minimum of 15 hours per week during fall, winter, spring or summer term. Schedules are negotiable, but a minimum three-month commitment is required.
Preferred Major: Graphic Design
Requirements: Qualified students will have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. We are looking for hard-working individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are willing to take on new tasks. Professionalism and responsibility are a must. Candidate should also have some familiarity with Hour Media and its properties. Intern must be extremely proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator on a Mac Platform. Ability to use email and internet software efficiently is a must.
Job Description: A graphic design intern will assist several art directors in day-to-day departmental functions. Individual will be responsible for gathering images and products, assist on photo shoots, create marketing materials, design layouts, and participate in press checks.
