On Dec. 9, the Italian Bar Association of Michigan hosted its 86th annual Winter Gala at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, gelato tasting, and more. Proceeds from the event benefitted Friends of Foster Kids, a Michigan non-profit that supports the community's foster kids.
On Dec. 8, St. John's Fontbonne Auxiliary hosted its 64th annual White Christmas Ball at the Detroit Athletic Club. Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, and more. Proceeds from the event benefitted St. John Hospital.
On Dec. 19, the Jo Elyn Nyman Anchors Programs for Children held two jungle-themed movie premieres for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at the Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor and at the Celebration! North Cinema in Grand Rapids. Attendees enjoyed a VIP reception, a screening of the movie, and a post-premiere hot chocolate street party. The fundraiser benefitted the organization, which is Michigan's only statewide pediatric hospice and advanced illness support program.
On Dec. 2, St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hosted its annual holiday ball at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center in Ypsilanti. Over 900 guests attended the Paradise Ball - A Night in Shangri-La, and enjoyed cocktails, dinner prepared by Forte Belanger, and performances by Intrigue. Proceeds from the black tie event benefitted St. Joe's palliative care program.

This year’s program also featured the Excellence in Care Awards presented by CIG Capital Advisors. These awards honored 5 unique stories of medical achievement, advancement, and collaboration.
On Nov. 2, the First Annual Chairs for Charity fundraiser showcased the talent of the local art and design community at the Garden Theater in Detroit. During the unique pop-up gallery of extraordinary chair installations, attendees sipped cocktails, enjoyed gourmet bites, and bid on the chairs to raise funds for dozens of local charities participating in the Give Detroit Challenge.

Rack of Michigan Lamb - A succulent, mouth-watering rack of lamb is served with Moroccan couscous, harissa yogurt, marcona almonds, and mint gremolata.
Zucchini - Vegan zucchini bread, smoked cipollini onions, puffed grains, caramelized onion puree.
Vitello Casa Blanca - Tender veal medallions sautéed with jumbo shrimp, baby spinach, roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts tossed in olive oil, garlic and a white wine lemon caper sauce. Accompanied with a side of homemade gnocchi palomino.
Grilled Double Bone Lamb Chop - Our braised lamb shoulder is made even better with hummus, overdried tomato, and mushroom ragu.

Prime Dry Aged Kansas City Strip - Cameron’s 18 oz. Kansas City Strip is dry-aged for 28 days, and complemented here by bone marrow butter.

The yearly event featured live music from Kimmie Horne, a fashion show, and more. Proceeds benefitted Ronald McDonald House Detroit.
On Dec. 8, the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council held its 34th annual ACE Awards in combination with the 40th biennial Chairman's Scholarship Gala. The prestigious business event was held in the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Attendees enjoyed a grand reception, dinner, and dessert. Minority business enterprises and college students were presented awards and scholarships.
On Dec. 6, Acclaimed Charity hosted its 9th annual Holiday Schmooze at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. Guests enjoyed dinner, silent auctions, dancing, and more. Proceeds benefited the United World Mission's Ugandan Mobile Medical Mission, which provides support for the villages in Uganda.

On Dec. 2, the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan held its annual Kidney Ball at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit. Nearly 600 attendees enjoyed a Candy Bar from Mars Wrigley Confectionery, a performance from Your Generation in Concert, and more. Proceeds from the "Casablanca" themed event benefited the NKFM's programs and services, helping those with chronic kidney disease.

Attendees enjoyed brunch and boutique shopping at the Birmingham Country Club, and toured nearby Christmas-decorated homes. Proceeds benefited the organization, which is dedicated to improving the well-being of local disadvantaged and at-risk children.
On Dec. 1, Alternatives for Girls hosted its 29th Annual Holiday High Tea at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. The sold-out event featured tea, snacks, and a silent auction. Proceeds supported Alternatives for Girls in its effort to empower and assist local homeless and at-risk girls and young women.
