A Beautiful Me Avant Garde Hair Show 2017

On Nov. 5, A Beautiful Me held its 7th annual Avant Garde Hair Show fundraiser at Zuccaro's Banquets & Catering in Chesterfield. Attendees enjoyed dinner, dessert, and a hair-centric fashion show that showcased the works of Michigan-based hairstylists. Proceeds from the one-of-a-kind event benefited A Beautiful Me in its mission to raise the self-esteem of young women through unique and interactive workshops.

Breaking the Silence on Elder Abuse Benefit 2017

On Nov. 9, St. Anne's Mead held its Evening of Empowerment: Breaking the Silence on Elder Abuse benefit. The informative event was held at The Community House of Birmingham and included dinner, drinks, guest speakers, and more. Proceeds benefitted the nonprofit its efforts to raise awareness of elder abuse and provide memory care for those with forms of dementia.

Chocolate Jubilee 2017

On Oct. 28, the Alzheimer's Association held its 33rd annual Chocolate Jubilee at MGM Grand Detroit Hotel. Guests enjoyed a keynote address from writer, artist, and anthropologist Dana Walrath, chocolate tastings, and live music from Nouveauté. Proceeds benefited organization in its effort to serve individuals and families struggling with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias.

First Congregational Church of Detroit Restoration Fundraiser 2017

On Nov, 4, the First Congregational Church of Detroit hosted its annual fundraiser and restoration dinner. The fundraiser honored Rev. Dr. Cindy A. Rice as she celebrated her 3rd year as pastor of the church. Guests enjoyed dinner, music, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefited the restoration of the historic church, which serves as the site of the Underground Railroad Living Museum.

Harvest Moon Ball 2017

On Oct. 27, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital hosted its 10th annual Harvest Moon Ball at the MGM Grand Detroit Hotel. The extravagant evening featured dinner, cocktails, live entertainment, and more. Proceeds benefited oncology services at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

Chairs For Charity 2017

On Nov. 2, the second annual Chairs for Charity fundraiser showcased the talent of the local art and design community at the Garden Theater in Detroit. Steps to Success 2017

On Oct. 25, Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) held its Steps to Success event on the second floor of Cost Plus Wine Shop at Detroit's Eastern Market. On Oct. 27, Capuchin Soup Kitchen held its annual Support Our Capuchin Kitchen (SOCK) dinner at Cobo Center Grand River Ballroom in Detroit. Rugiero Casino Royale 2017

On Oct. 28, the Rugiero Promise Foundation held its 7th annual Casino Royale at the Ford Community & Arts Center in Dearborn. The charity event featured an open bar, strolling dinner, and a performance by The Toppermost Band. Guests danced and placed bets in various casino games. Proceeds benefitted the Rugiero Promise Foundation in its effort to find a cure for diabetes.

Dutton Farm's Fashion Show 2017

On Oct. 22, Dutton Farm held its 5th annual fashion show at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. Guests and models dressed in trends from their favorite decades. Attendees enjoyed strolling hors d'oeurves, drinks, desserts, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefitted the nonprofit's special needs employment program, providing dignified employment to people of all abilities.

Judge Damon J. Keith 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration 2017

On Oct. 28, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History celebrated Judge Damon J. Keith's 50 years of service on the federal bench. The black-tie optional event featured live music by The Gabriel Brass Band and Jimmy McKee & The Upsetters, dinner, and a dessert reception. Proceeds benefitted the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne Law and the museum.

Top Docs Party 2017

On Oct. 26, Hour Detroit's 12th Annual Top Docs Party was held at the Gem Theatre in Detroit. The professionals named on the 2017 Top Docs list celebrated with their colleagues and enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and live entertainment.

A Night to R.E.M.ember 2017

On Oct. 20, Sweet Dreamzzz Inc. hosted its annual A Night to R.E.M.ember event. The fundraiser was held on the cobblestone streets of the Detroit Historical Museum, and featured live and silent auctions, a signature 'Heads or Tails' event, and more. Proceeds benefitted Sweet Dreamzzz, educating disadvantaged kids and families about healthy sleeping habits.

Taste of Southfield 2017

On Oct. 10, the 2017 Taste of Southfield was held at the Southfield Town Center Atrium. Presented by the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the premier event featured samplings from 20 local restaurants, shopping from local vendors, and an Edible Creations competition. A portion of the proceeds benefitted the American Heart Association.

St. Mary Mercy Livonia Gala 2017

On Oct. 13, St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital held its 25th annual fundraising gala at the Laurel Manor in Livonia. The gala was themed after Cirque de la Vie and featured dinner, auctions, and circus performers. This year's event raised $250,000 for the Healthy Livonia initiative, providing the community opportunities to get and stay healthy.

Women of Vision Benefit Luncheon 2017

On Oct. 10, the National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Detroit Section, held its Women of Vision benefit luncheon. The annual event took place at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield and featured New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner as the guest speaker. Proceeds from the event supported programs of the National Council of Jewish Women/Greater Detroit.

Wine & Dine in the D 2017

On Oct. 12, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation held its Wine & Dine in the D event at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. Guests enjoyed a strolling dinner featuring dishes from 24 of metro Detroit's finest restaurants and live entertainment by Ursula Walker/Buddy Budson Quintet. Proceeds benefited the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

Royal Starr Film Festival 2017

From October 12-15, Royal Starr hosted its annual international film festival in downtown Royal Oak. The four-day event featured film screenings, VIP events, and community activities. The Royal Starr Film Festival screened short, feature, and documentary films, and awarded prizes to filmmakers in the community.

Art Foundation Grand Opening 2017

On Oct. 12, artist Tony Roko celebrated the grand opening of Art Foundation at The Warehouse Studio in Plymouth. The event featured a strolling dinner prepared by Chef Joe Nader, Atwater Brewing Company's Roko labeled brews, and dessert by Chef Scott Breazeale. Art Foundation is a nonprofit organization that fosters creative minds for at-risk children.

Victory Gala 2017

On Oct. 12, The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial held its Victory Gala at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market. The event was hosted by FOX 2 Detroit's Sherry Margolis and honored WWII veterans. Guests enjoyed a strolling dinner, silent and live auctions, live entertainment, and more. Proceeds from the gala supported the building of The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial in Memorial Park in Royal Oak.

Eastern Market Harvest Gala 2017

On Oct. 13, Eastern Market held its annual Harvest Gala inside Shed 3. Guests enjoyed a "farm to fork" meal prepared by Grey Ghost's Chef John Vermiglio, live entertainment, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefitted the Eastern Market and its mission to provide access to fresh food, accelerate the development of food entrepreneurs, and enhance the public market experience.

Branches Crew Benefit Gala 2017

On Oct. 6, Branches Crew hosted its Inaugural Benefit gala. The "Streets of Detroit" themed event took place in the Detroit Historical Museum. Guests sipped cocktails, enjoyed a strolling dinner, and wandered the Streets of Old Detroit exhibit. The gala raised funds for Branches Crew, a nonprofit that supports underprivileged kids in Macomb and Oakland County.

Toasting Hope Tasting Event 2017

On Sept. 28, Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan hosted its annual Toasting Hope Tasting event. Over 300 attendees tasted varieties of beer and wine, participated in live and silent auctions, and enjoyed a selection of crudités, appetizers, and desserts. Proceeds supported the Epilepsy Foundation and its mission to help, manage, and ultimately cure epilepsy.

Detroit Wine Stroll 2017

On Sept. 30, The Detroit Art Deco Society held its annual Detroit Wine Stroll. The walk through Detroit started at Angelina's Italian Bistro. Attendees enjoyed some of Detroit's architecturally significant buildings, as well as select wines and appetizers at eight unique venues.

On Oct. 4, Infinity-Ovation Yacht Charters hosted its Oktoberfest to mark the end of their Summer Cruise Series. Passengers enjoyed a colorful cruise along Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River, a performance by The Usual Suspects, and a Bavarian-inspired meal. A portion of the proceeds benefitted the Brain Injury Association of Michigan

Grape Expectations for Kids 2017

On Sept. 28, The Guidance Center hosted its Grape Expectations for Kids Wine Pairing Dinner at the Colony Club Detroit. Guests enjoyed fine cuisine, a silent auction and live musical entertainment. Proceeds benefited the Kids-TALK Children Advocacy Center, a community-based program that serves children through 17 years of age, providing comprehensive services to suspected child victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, or other forms of psychological trauma, including witness to violent crimes.

Meadow Brook Hall's Gourmet Wild Game Dinner 2017

On Sept. 28, Meadow Brook Hall hosted its 12th annual Wild Game Dinner and Auction. Guests enjoyed a four-course wild or mild game dinner prepared by Executive Chef Patrick Gazzarato, live and silent auctions, cocktails, and more. Proceeds benefitted the interpretation and preservation of the National Historic Landmark.

Career Mastered Power + Worth Mixology 2017

On Sept. 26, Career Mastered hosted its Power & Worth Women's Mixology event at the Federal Reserve Bank in Detroit. During the invite-only event, guests enjoys cocktails, conversation, and a panel featuring women setting the stage for advancing women's leadership and careers. Panelists included Amanda Lewan, co-founder of Bamboo Detroit; Anika Jackson, president at Jackson Land Holding Co.; and Gail Perry-Mason, senior director of investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. Proceeds benefited Excel Village Youth whose mission is to create winning futures by mentoring and providing career planning to girls in grades 5th-12th.

MCCF Comedy and Cocktails 2017

On Sept. 15, Macomb Community College Foundation hosted its 4th annual Comedy and Cocktails event at the Lorenzo Cultural Center in Clinton Township. Guests were treated to cocktails, appetizers, a raffle and silent auctions, a seated dinner, and a performance by Forbidden Broadway. Proceeds benefitted the arts and cultural programming of Macomb Community College.

Uncork for a Cure 2017

On Sept. 14, University of Michigan hosted its 2nd annual Uncork for a Cure. The sold out event was held at Bacco Ristorante in Southfield. Guests enjoyed delectable dishes created by several James Beard Foundation Award nominees, including Luciano Del Signore, James Rigato, and Andy Hollyday, as well as Bacco Ristorante's executive chef, Gabriel Botezan. Guests uncorked fine wine provided by Madeline Triffon, the master sommelier of Plum Market. Proceeds from the event supported the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center Breast Oncology Program and the breast oncology surgical fellowship, which assists patient care and research.

Ted Lindsay Foundation Celebrity Golf Outing 2017

On Sept. 11, the Ted Lindsay Foundation hosted its 17th Annual Celebrity Golf Outing at the Detroit Golf Club. Attendees played on the the driving range and the putting green, participated in an 18-hole scramble, and bid in live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event benefitted the foundation and it's mission to support research and educational programs focusing on the cause and management of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

New Day Hope Shines Gala 2017

On Sept. 8, New Day Foundation for Families hosted its annual Hope Shines Gala inside Shed 5 at Eastern Market in Detroit. Guests enjoyed dinner and music, as well as live and silent auctions. Proceeds benefitted the New Day Foundation and its mission to provide financial assistance and emotional support to cancer patients and their families.

Belinda Sue Fund Zoo Walk 2017

On Sept. 17, the Belinda Sue Fund hosted its 6th Annual Zoo Walk at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak. Participants walked to raise awareness for ovarian cancer. Proceeds of the Zoo Walk funded research for an early-detection tool and helped raise awareness for the disease.

Joe Kocur Celebrity Charity Softball Series 2017

On Aug. 26, the Joe Kocur Foundation for Children held its 9th annual Celebrity Charity Softball Series at Duck Lake Pines Park in Highland. The softball tournament has featured celebrity participants, including Detroit Red Wings Alumni, and other media and entertainment personalities. All proceeds from the event benefited Wings of Mercy East Michigan, FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation, The Huron Valley Special Olympics, Play Like Jackson Foundation, Team Kendal Kidz, and the Lakeland High School - Shannon Gaber Silverthorn Public Service Scholarship.

Run To Set Her Free 2017

On Sept. 9, Unshackled and Hope Against Trafficking hosted Run To Set Her Free, a 5K Color Run. The race took place in Stoney Creek Metro Park in Shelby Township. Proceeds from the event helped support victims of human trafficking, raising funds to send them to a two-year rehabilitation program.

Team Fox in the D 2017

On Sept. 9, Team Fox in the D hosted its 2nd annual Detroit Gala at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. All proceeds benefitted the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Last year's inaugural event raised over $118,000 for high-impact research programs.

Racing For Kids to the Hill 2017

On Aug. 30, Racing for Kids hosted its 11th annual Racing For Kids to the Hill event on Kercheval Avenue in Grosse Pointe Farms. During the day time street fair, kids enjoyed games, inflatables, music, refreshments and family-friend activities. The evening including a cocktail reception and live auction at Northern Trust. The annual event has raised and distributed more than $1 million to local children's hospitals.

Gianna House Golf Outing 2017

On Aug. 28, Gianna House hosted its 5th annual Golf Outing at Greystone Golf Club. Golfers participated in longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one contests. The proceeds benefited the Gianna House mission to provide a safe residence, support, and resources for all pregnant women and their newborn infants.

CLC Cruise-In 2017

On Aug. 26, Community Living Centers hosted its 2nd Annual CLC Cruise-In at Farmington Village Commons. Attendees enjoyed a car show, food, and other activities. The car show and fundraiser benefitted Community Living Centers, a nonprofit that serves the developmentally disabled of Oakland County.

Benefit on the Bay 2017

On Aug. 25, Capuchin Soup Kitchen held its 24th annual Benefit on the Bay event at MacRay Harbor on Lake St. Clair. Attendees enjoyed dinner, dancing, and participating in live auctions. Over the years, the fundraiser has raised more than $1.3 million dollars to benefit the soup kitchen, which serves an average of 2,000 meals a day.

SLIDE Carnival 2017

On Aug. 18, Detroit Institute for Children hosted its SLIDE Carnival to celebrate the end of the first year of its Summer Learning Individualized Developmental Experiences program. The carnival was held at Dove Academy in Detroit. Attendees played carnival games, had their faces painted, and participated in other fun activities.

Blue Tie Gala 2017

On Aug. 19, Asthma is Real (A.I.R.), held its second annual Blue Tie Gala at the Corners in West Bloomfield. Guests enjoyed a full-course dinner, listened to inspirational speakers, and watched a fashion show featuring Michigan designers and models, all while dressed in blue. The charity dinner and fashion show supported A.I.R. in raising funds and awareness for asthma in Michigan.

Kruize4Kids 2017

On Aug. 10, Northeast Guidance Center held its signature fundraiser, Kruize4Kids, aboard the Ovation yacht. The three-hour cruise set sail from Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Clair Shores, taking passengers along Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River. Guests enjoyed a delectable dinner, drinks on the sundeck, and music from jazz group, Straight Ahead. Proceeds from the event helped provide warm coats for children in need and funding for children's programs.

Cruisin' to Drive Out Hunger 2017

On Aug. 18, Forgotten Harvest held the 15th annual Cruisin’ to Drive Out Hunger (formerly the Champagne Cruise) at Westborn Market in Berkley. Guests enjoyed delicious food from local restaurants, live entertainment, dancing, and more. Proceeds from the charity preview benefited Forgotten Harvest to help relieve hunger in Metro Detroit.

Jazz It Up Cruise 2017

On Aug. 1, Infinity and Ovation Yacht Charters held its Jazz It Up cruise on the Detroit River. Guests enjoyed a strolling dinner, classic craft cocktails, and modern jazz performances by Detroit’s very own upright bassist, Marion Hayden and band. A portion of each ticket purchase benefited 4 Paws, 1 Heart, and its mission to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs by funding medical treatment for abandoned, abused, and stray animals.

Kids on the Go presents Asperger's Are Us 2017

On Aug. 3, Kids on the Go invited the comedy troupe Asperger's Are Us to perform for special-needs children and their families at the Hilberry Theatre in Detroit. The show, created by artists on the autism spectrum, helped share the message that a diagnosis does not define someone’s future. The evening also welcomed special guest Anthony Ianni, an anti-bullying activist.

Oral Cancer Awareness Michigan 5K 2017

On Aug. 5, runners and walkers took to the streets of Birmingham in support of the 3rd annual Oral Cancer Foundation 5K. The course began in front of Seaholm High School and ended on Seaholm's track. Proceeds benefited the foundation's efforts of spreading oral cancer awareness and funding research projects.

Every Child is a Work of Art 2017

On Aug. 5, Art & Soul Dreams hosted its "Every Child is a Work of Art" monthly traveling photo exhibit at the Pontiac Creative Arts Center. The nonprofit partnered with award-winning photographers in order to showcase photographs of older children looking for a forever family. The event aimed to help increase the rate of adoption for children in the Michigan foster care and adoption system.

Motor City Mingle 2017

On July 28, RM Sotheby's celebrated the 39th annual Concours d'Elegance of America and supported JDRF's mission of funding type 1 diabetes research during its third annual Motor City Mingle at The Inn at St. Johns in Plymouth. Guests enjoyed a silent auction, cocktails, a a celebratory kick-off dinner, and more.

St. Clair Butterfly Open 2017

On July 31, the St. Clair Butterfly Foundation held its second annual golf open. Guests enjoyed golf, fun, and fellowship, including a silent auction and buffet dinner. Proceeds benefited the foundation's efforts to empower at-risk youth.

Christmas in July 2017

On July 18, Gifts For All God's Children held its 5th annual Christmas in July event at Villa Penna in Sterling Heights. Guests enjoyed dinner, auction, and a presentation from special guest Kurt David.. All proceeds helped benefit at-risk children with individualized tutoring, summer camps, school supplies, Christmas gifts, and more.

Slurping Turtle Charity Ramen Battle 2017

On July 16, Slurping Turtle in Ann Arbor held it's annual Charity Ramen Battle. Guests enjoyed five different bowls from Chef Brendon Edwards of Gold Cash Gold, Chef Brad Greenhill of Katoi, Tadashi Nagura of Slurping Turtle, Chef Joseph Van Wagner of Local Kitchen, and Chef Derik Watson of Bistro 82, all competing for $2,000 prize for the charity of their choice.

Christmas in July Cruise 2017

On July 16, Infinity and Ovation Yacht Charters held its Christmas in July themed cruise benefiting the Parade Company. Guests enjoyed a holiday-themed dinner and premium open bar. Each guest was asked to bring a children's gift for donation, and a portion of each ticket cost benefited the organization.

Acclaimed Mingle Yacht Party 2017

On July 17, the ACS Foundation held its 8th annual Acclaimed Mingle event aboard an Infinity and Ovation yacht. Guests enjoyed dinner, drinks, and dancing. Proceeds benefited the United World Mission.

Leaders for Kids Summer Recess 2017

On July 7, Leaders for Kids, an advisory board of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, hosted its 5th annual Summer Recess event on top of the Detroit Opera House Rooftop. Guests enjoyed strolling appetizers, a premium open bar, live entertainment, and more. Proceeds benefited the foundation and its mission to raise funds for pediatric medical research, education, and community benefit programs.

On July 5, Infinity-Ovation Yacht Charters held its Red, White & Groove cruise as part of its Summer Cruise Series. Guests enjoyed a strolling dinner of traditional American fare, a premium open bar, and the tunes of Boogie Dynomite.

Ford Fireworks 2017

On June 26, the Parade Company hosted the 59th annual Ford Fireworks along the Detroit River and a Rooftop Party presented by Ford Motor Company. The party, one of the Parade Company's most important fundraisers of the year, featured food from Andiamo, drinks, games, giveaways, and live entertainment.

Lawrence Hunt Charity Trunk Show 2017

On June 29, Lawrence Hunt Fashion was joined by Detroit Tiger James McCann for its Charity Trunk Show. Guests enjoyed food, drinks, a raffle and door prizes. Proceeds benefitted Camp Casey and the Michigan Veterans Foundation.

Best of Detroit Party 2017 P. 2

On June 23 at Joe Louis Arena, Hour Detroit brought the Best of Detroit issue to life at the 12th annual Best of Detroit Party. Guests enjoyed the flavors, sounds, and fashions of Hour Detroit’s Best of Detroit winners, as well as live entertainment from Ben Sharkey and DJ CAPTN20. Salute America 2017

On June 23, Lighthouse of Oakland County hosted its Salute America event at the Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills. This year's honorees were Marie Osborn, Sheriff Michael Bouchard, and Sherry Margolis. Guests enjoyed dinner, live entertaimment, dancing, and a silent and live auction. Lighthouse is the largest nonprofit provider of emergency food and housing to low-income families in Oakland County.

Best of Detroit Party 2017

On June 23 at Joe Louis Arena, Hour Detroit brought the Best of Detroit issue to life at the 12th annual Best of Detroit Party. Guests enjoyed the flavors, sounds, and fashions of Hour Detroit’s Best of Detroit winners, as well as live entertainment from Ben Sharkey and DJ CAPTN20. The magical evening was hosted by The Great Evrod Cassimy from WDIV Local 4.

Sounds of Sinatra Cruise 2017

On June 21, Infinity-Ovation Yacht Charter invited guests to relive the days of the Rat Pack. While cruising down the Detroit River, guests enjoyed Italian food, drinks and music by members of the Rat Pack performed by Gary Sacco. The cruise included a charity partnership with Defeat the Label, a nonprofit which empowers students around the globe in an effort to to end bullying.

Great Big Auction 2017

On June 16, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit held its Great Big Auction at Soundboard MotorCity. Hosted by Chuck Bennett, the evening featured a lively auctioneer, great music, amazing food, and crafted cocktails. Proceeds benefited the organization and its mission to provide children facing adversity with safe, strong, and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships.

Sunset at the Zoo 2017

On June 16 at the Detroit Zoo, the Detroit Zoological Society held their annual 21-and-older fundraising gala Sunset at the Zoo, themed this year "Green is the New Black." The event, which celebrated the society's Greenprint initiatives, featured food, drinks, live entertainment, and more. Proceeds benefited the society and their mission to celebrate and save wildlife.

SDBA Community Investment Breakfast 2017

On June 15, the Southwest Detroit Business Association hosted its annual Community Investment Breakfast at Sound Board inside of MotorCity Casino Hotel. More than 300 business owners, community leaders, entrepreneurs. and residents enjoyed a business networking reception, an awards ceremony, and a special presentation to recognize the nonprofit organization’s 60th anniversary.

Ovation Detroiter Brunch 2017

On June 18, Hour Detroit presented the Detroiter Brunch as a part of Infinity-Ovation Yacht Charter's summer cruise series. Guests enjoyed a champagne brunch, premium open bar, live music, and more. A portion of the proceeds went to the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy to build plazas, pavilions, and green spaces along a 5-1/2 mile stretch of the riverfront, from the Ambassador Bridge to Gabriel Richard Park.

Forgotten Harvest Comedy Night 2017

On June 17, Forgotten Harvest, one of the nation’s largest food rescue organizations, held its 25th annual Comedy Night, headlined by Seth Myers, at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships benefitted the organization's network of nearly 300 agencies in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties, which provide fresh food options to those in need.

Cinetopia Film Festival Closing Night 2017

From June 1 to 11, the Cinetopia film festival honored the rich heritage of cinematic culture and Michigan’s proud legacy of outstanding cinema artists. This year's lineup included "12th and Clairmount," "Band Aid" and "Detroit Voices," among others. The festival concluded with a closing night party on June 11 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit.

Capuchin Souper Summer Celebration 2017

On June 10, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen invited Detroiters to Comerica Park for a night of Wild West fun for its 36th annual Souper Summer Celebration. The free event featured fireworks, live entertainment, a raffle, and more. Proceeds benefited the organization whose mission is to tend to people's basic needs, especially the need for food,

Detroit Artists Market Garden Party 2017

On June 15, Detroit Artist's Market held its 82nd Garden Party & Art Sale. The event welcomed guests for a four hour art sale in an intimate garden setting. Proceeds benefited the organization's efforts to provide opportunities for local artists to exhibit and sell works. The Detroit Artists Market is the oldest continuously non-profit art gallery in the Midwest.

Jack and Jill St. John Boutique 2017

On June 15, the Detroit Chapter of Jack and Jill of America celebrated 65 years of service with its St. John Boutique event. The event was held in Somerset Mall and invited guests to shop for a cause and to help raise funds for one of the group's current projects, establishing a computer lab in the Tindal Recreational Center in Detroit.

Yappy Hour 2017

On June 1, the Michigan Animal Rescue League hosted its Yappy Hour event, inspired by the classic tale of the Wizard of Oz, at the Meadow Brook Hall Rock Garden. Guests enjoyed a silent auction, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, gourmet dog treats, red carpet photos, and more. All proceeds directly benefited homeless cats and dogs of southeast Michigan.

Pau Hana After Work Party 2017

On June 8, Infinity-Ovation Yacht Charters invited Michiganders to enjoy island life for a night. As part of Infinity's Summer Cruise Series, guests to Pau Hana enjoyed a Hawaiian-themed menu and premium cocktails. To further create an island atmosphere, The Kroon Band played its signature Hawaiian sound.

Building Champions Gala 2017

On June 2, the Power Company Kids Club hosted its Building Champions Gala at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. The evening celebrated 24 years of empowering children with dinner and a silent auction. Proceeds benefited the organization with a goal of raising $250,000 to use towards purchasing, renovating, and sustaining a Children's Center on the west side of Detroit.

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Spring Spectacular 2017

On May 11, St. Joseph Mercy Oakland held its annual Spring Spectacular at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. The event featured Chris Spielman, College Football Hall of Famer, Fox Sports broadcaster, and health advocate, as the celebrity speaker. The event benefited the hospital's Mercy Dental Center, which provides a full range of dental services for patients who lack access due to medical, physical, or financial reasons.

Cruise In for a Cause 2017

On May 11, the Cutler Group held its Cruise In for a Cause event at Suburban Exotic Motorcars in Troy. Guests enjoyed test drives of exotic cars, a wine tasting, desserts and more. All proceeds benefitted Henry Ford SandCastles, which provides grief counseling for children and families who have lost a loved one.

Derby For Kids 2017

On May 6, Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation hosted its Derby For Kids fundraiser in the Alger House at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. Guests were encouraged to wear their best derby hats and bowties, and enjoyed a strolling dinner, mint juleps, and desserts. Proceeds benefited pediatric cancer programs.

Grand Salute and Bravo Salute 2017

On May 19, the Michigan Opera Theatre held Bravo Salute in honor of its founder David DiChiera as he is retiring after this season. Guests enjoyed food, drinks and live entertainment inside the historic Detroit Opera House. An afterparty followed the initial event.

Return to Downton 2017

On May 20, the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association invited guests to return to Downton Abbey at The Whitney. Guests dressed in their best Edwardian outfits and enjoyed music, entertainment and a silent auction. Proceeds helped fund patient education, support services, and research aimed at solving the underlying immune issues that link all autoimmune disorders.

Pooches on Parade 2017

On May 5, 2017 I Heart Dogs hosted its second annual Pooches on Parade Gala at the Barrister Garden Banquet Center. With special guest Roop Raj, the event treated guests to a silent auction, cheer raffle and live music from "Escaping Pavement." The event was a fundraiser in support of police officers and rescue dogs.

Sunset at the Zoo Benefactor Bash 2017

On May 16, the Detroit Zoological Society hosted its Benefactor Bash for high-level supporters of its Sunset at the Zoo event held at the Detroit Zoo. The soiree was held at the home of Doreen Hermelin and featured a strolling dinner, desserts, and zoo-themed specialty drinks. Proceeds benefited Sunset at the Zoo, which will be held June 16.

Spark of Hope Tribute Gala 2017

On May 20, Life Directions hosted its annual Spark of Hope Tribute Gala with honorees Joan Duggan and Frank Venegas Jr. While celebrating the honorees, guests enjoyed dinner and silent auction. The evening benefited the organization, which supports and mentors youth and young adults from 13 to 35 years of age.

Celebrations Around the World Gala 2017

On May 11, the Michigan Design Center celebrated its 40th year with the Celebrations Around the World Gala. The event featured 25 vignettes with global themes made by MDC's designers. Guests at the event enjoyed live music, dinner, and cocktails.

Celebrity Chefs Dinner 2017

On April 21,Community Living Centers Inc. held its 40th annual Celebrity Chefs Dinner. Fifteen of Detroit's best chefs prepared a five-course meal for the guests who also enjoyed a silent auction, raffle, and other entertainment. The yearly event benefits children and adults living with developmental disabilities.

Interchange Art + Dinner at M1 Concourse 2017

On May 18, the first patron party for the fourth annual Interchange Art + Dinner series was held at the the new M1 Concourse private racetrack in Pontiac. Guests enjoyed a strolling dinner along the private garages, cocktails, racing on a virtual racetrack, and thrilling rides with a professional race car driver. Proceeds benefited the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

The five-night series featured custom menus developed by the city’s most celebrated chefs for one-of-a-kind four-course meals complete with thoughtfully selected wine pairings. Thursday's meal was prepared by Chef Sarah Welch and Chef Nikita Sanches of Rock City Eatery. A portion of the proceeds benefited Eastern Market, which since the 1800s has gradually become a cornerstone, nourishing its residents by providing fresh and nutritious food throughout Southeastern Michigan.

On May 6, Orchards Children’s Services celebrate its 55th anniversary during the Gerald L. Levine Champions for Children event at the Henry Ford Museum. Proceeds from the gala benefited the organization, which helps improve the quality of life for abused, neglected, and troubled children.

Alive 2017

On May 5, The Donate Life Coalition of Michigan hosted its annual Alive event at the Art Moran Buick GMC building in Southfield. Guests enjoyed an evening of live music, food, drinks, a silent auction, and a photo booth among other things. The event was in support of eye, organ and tissue donation. The Donate Life Coalition advocates for organ donation as a human responsibility.
