Cruise In for a Cause 2018

On May 10, the Cutler Group, LLC and Henry Ford's SandCastles held its annual Cruise In for a Cause event at the Aston Martin/Bentley Lamborghini/Maserati of Troy dealership. Guests enjoyed test driving exotic cars, wine tastings, and more. Proceeds from the event benefited Henry Ford SandCastles grief support program, which offers support services to children and families who have lost a loved one.

DYC in the D 2018

On May 4, The Detroit Yacht Club held its sixth annual spring "DYC in the D" fundraising gala at the Detroit Yacht Club's Grand Ballroom in Detroit. The restoration gala featured a gourmet strolling dinner, a premium open bar, and performances by the K.E.G. Band. Proceeds from the event benefited the continued restoration and preservation of the historic site.

A Night of Broadway Stars 2018

On May 10, Covenant House Michigan held its annual Night of Broadway Stars event at Motor City SoundBoard Theater in Detroit. JDRF Promise Ball 2018

On May 4, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation held its 33rd annual Promise Ball at MGM Grand in Detroit. For "One Roaring Night," guests enjoyed wine auctions, live entertainment, dinner, and more. This year, the formal event honored Bill and Vivienne Young for their work with Type 1 Diabetes. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefited JDRF in its research to cure diabetes.

MiSci Gala 2018

On May 4, the Michigan Science Center held its annual MiSci Gala at its Detroit location. The formal event welcomed over 600 guests from Detroit-based companies, including Ford, General Motors, Fiat-Chrysler Automotive, and more. NASA Goddard Astrophysicist Researcher, Dr. John Mather was featured as the keynote speaker, enlightening attendees about the latest James Webb Space Telescope. Proceeds from the event helped raise funds to empower and enrich all children and all communities with STEM.

The Power of One 2018

On April 23, Fostering Academics Mentoring Excellence Program hosted The Power of One: Challenging Perceptions and Changing Lives event at Michigan State's College of Law in East Lansing. A collaboration with Chance at Childhood, Art & Soul Dreams, and MSU College of Law, the event featured a panel and MSU alumni who have had experiences with foster care. A keynote address was made by Shenandoah Chefalo, an author, speaker, and advocate for child welfare. Art & Soul Dreams also opened their new art exhibit in celebration of National Foster Care Month.

Cranbrook Academy Studio 2018

On April 28, Cranbrook Academy of Art and Art Museum held its annual charitable studio event on its campus in Bloomfield Hills. The art-filled event invited guests to browse the private studio spaces and interact with students participating in the 2018 Graduate Degree Exhibition. Attendees also enjoyed dinner and an after party. Proceeds from the event benefited Cranbrook's scholarship funds and the museum.

Detroit Zoo Wildlife Conservation Gala 2018

On April 27, the Detroit Zoological Society held its 2nd annual Wildlife Conservation Gala at the Wildlife Interpretive Gallery inside the Detroit Zoo. Over 120 guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a sit-down dinner. Themed "Standing Up to Extinction," the gala featured a presentation of the zoo's efforts to save species from extinction. The event raised over $69,000 for the DZS's wildlife conservation programs.

Alive 2018

On April 20, the Donate Life Coalition of Michigan held its annual Alive benefit at the Art Moran Buick GMC Showroom in Southfield. Attendees enjoyed strolling hors d'oeuvres, photo booths, a performance by Your Generation, and more. Proceeds of the event benefited DLCM in its efforts to promote and encourage organ, tissue, and eye donation.

Ted Lindsay Wine Tasting 2018

On April 19, The Ted Lindsay Foundation held its annual wine tasting event at San Marino Club in Troy. Guests enjoyed wine poured by celebrity wine pourers, strolling dinner and dessert, and a silent auction. This year's featured winemaker was Sonja Magdevski of Casa Dumetz Wines. All proceeds from the event benefited autism research and educational programs.

On April 20, Turning Point Macomb hosted its annual Stepping Out With the Stars event at Zuccaro Banquets and Catering in Chesterfield Township. Guests voted for their favorite celebrity dancer while enjoying dinner, dancing, and more. Proceeds from the event benefited Turning Point Macomb, an organization serving to end domestic and sexual violence.

Sock Hop Soirée 2018

On April 21, St. Joseph Mercy Livingston held its annual Sock Hop Soirée at the Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Howell. The 50s themed event featured dinner, dancing, and a cocktail party. Proceeds from the 1950s ball benefitted the enhancement of surgical services at both St. Joe's Livingston and St. Joseph Mercy Brighton Health Centers.

Fair Lane Dinner Dance 2018

On April 13, the Fair Lane Dinner Dance celebrated its 30th anniversary celebration. Started by Edsel and Cynthia Ford, the formal event took place in the Dearborn Inn. Guests were served a gourmet dinner, cocktails, and more. The celebration included an afterglow and raised funds for the restoration of the Fair Lane Estate.

Elegance Fashion Show 2018

On April 7, Elegance Fashion hosted its 40th annual fashion show at the Intramural Sports Building in Ann Arbor. Models made their way down the runway in clothing by local, up-and-coming, and independent designers. In addition to the fashion show, attendees took part in giveaways and enjoyed special performances. Proceeds from the event benefited Living Arts Detroit, a non-profit focused on promoting art education in Southwest Detroit.

Hats Off to New Members Tea 2018

On March 21, the Women's Division for Project HOPE held its annual Hats Off to New Members tea service at the Townsend in Birmingham. The elegant gathering welcomed newcomers with live harp entertainment, mini makeovers by Dior, a fashion show, and more. Proceeds of the event beneftted the worldwide health initiatives of Project HOPE, which has been providing help and solutions to health crises since 1958.

Paws Together 2018

On March 8, Paws with a Cause held its annual fundraising event PAWS Together at the Burton Manor in Livonia. Guests heard stories about how assistance dogs have changed lives and enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks. The hour-long event encouraged guests to donate to Paws with a Cause to help continue its mission of training and providing assistance dogs to those with disabilities.

Diva's Day Out 2018

On March 10, the Rochester Junior Women's Club held its 11th annual Diva's Day Out at the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township. Attendees were treated to a spring fashion show, boutique shopping at over 40 shops, lunch, and a complimentary tote bag full of goodies. Proceeds benefited four organizations: Career Dress, OU Cares, the Professional Law Enforcement Association Foundation, and Sew Much Comfort.

Role Model Dinner 2018

On March 28, Alternatives for Girls held its annual Role Model Dinner at Cobo Center in Detroit. Guests enjoyed live and silent auctions, a plated dinner, and an awards program. The 2018 event honored this year's Role Models, including Alicia Boler Davis, Deborah LaBelle, and Monica L. Martinez. Proceeds from the dinner benefited the AFG programs, which provide resources, shelter, and support to at-risk and homeless girls.

Bloom with a Beautiful Me 2018

On March 2, Power 88.3 and A Beautiful Me co-hosted its original event, Bloom with A Beautiful Me, at the McMorran Theatre in Port Huron. The self-confidence and self-empowerment event brought over 750 middle and high school girls together to celebrate and discover their self-worth and beauty.

Charlotte's Wings Benefit 2018

On March 24, Charlotte’s Wings celebrated its 11th annual fundraising gala at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. This year's event included an all-new March Madness Lounge, as well as a cash bar, dinner, live and silent auctions, dancing, and live music from SpaceCat. Proceeds benefited the organization, which donates new books to Michigan children in hospital and hospice care who have serious illnesses and health crises.

Monte Carlo Night 2018

On March 10, the Detroit Boat Club Crew held its second annual Historic Night on the Water at the Belle Isle Boathouse in Detroit. The Monte Carlo-themed event featured cocktails, casino games, and more. Proceeds from the event benefited the restoration of the 1902 Boathouse and other programming.

Empty Bowls Detroit 2018

On March 9, Empty Bowls Detroit held its annual fundraiser at Eastern Market in Detroit. Detroit musicians performed while attendees enjoyed a strolling dinner featuring homemade soups, bread, cheese, and dessert. Proceeds benefitted Cass Community Social Services.

Canines and Couture 2018

On March 11, Detroit Dog Rescue hosted its annual fundraising event, Canines and Couture, at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. Attendees were treated to a fashion show starring DDR's adoptable dogs and some of metro Detroit's media personalities, a strolling lunch, and more. Proceeds benefited the nonprofit in its mission to humanely rescue homeless and stray dogs.

Lights! Camera! Auction! 2018

On March 3, Eton Academy held its annual "Lights! Camera! Auction!" gala and fundraiser in Birmingham. As the academy's largest fundraising event of the year, the evening included a formal, sit-down dinner prepared by Forte Belanger, raffles, auctions, and more. Motor City Mardi Gras 2018

On Feb. 10, Washtenaw Community College held its annual Motor City Mardi Gras event in the Morris Lawrence building of its Ann Arbor campus. Guests of the "Hippest Party in Town" enjoyed food prepared by guest chefs, music from the Motor City, and more. Proceeds from WCC's largest fundraiser benefitted the WCC Foundation, providing scholarships and other means of financial assistance for students.

Off to the Races 2018

On Feb. 2, the Berkley Education Foundation held its 9th Annual Off to the Races event at Club Venetian in Madison Heights. The evening included hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, live and silent auctions, simulated horse racing, and more. Proceeds benefited the Berkley School District.

Detroit Yacht Club Officers' Ball 2018

On Jan. 27, the Detroit Yacht Club held its 142nd annual Officers' Ball in Detroit. The ball, which began in 1878, is one of the longest-running formal events in Michigan. Guests enjoyed cocktails, a formal dinner, the traditional Grand March processional, dancing, and more. The ball is the first major event celebrating the DYC's 150th anniversary.

Empowerment Plan Fundraiser and Grand Opening 2018

On Jan. 25, Empowerment Plan held its 5th annual fundraiser at their new facility in Detroit. Attendees enjoyed specialty food and drinks from local restaurants and bars, live music, photo booths, and more. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefitted the nonprofit organization in its efforts to secure homes and jobs for Detroit's homeless community.

AutoGlow 2018

On Jan. 19 at Ford Field, the 2018 AutoGlow was hosted by Lisa and Bill Ford and Kathy and Jim Hackett. The "An Evening in Casablanca" themed event featured delicious food and live entertainment. All net proceeds benefited the Children’s Center of Wayne County, which offers more than 20 programs to over 7,500 children and families annually dealing with issues including abuse, neglect, mental illness and behavioral problems.

NAIAS Charity Preview 2018

On Jan. 19 at Cobo Center, guests enjoyed a first look at the North American International Auto Show at the Charity Preview. The black-tie event benefitted a wide range of children’s charities, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan. The fundraiser has raised more than $112 million for southeast Michigan children's charities since the gala was established in 1976.

The Gallery at NAIAS 2018

On Jan. 13, The Gallery returned to Cobo Center, officially kicking off the North American International Auto Show. During the 11th annual event, guests enjoyed a strolling dinner and had the opportunity to see a multimillion dollar collection of world-class automobiles, including brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Rolls-Royce.

NAIAS Industry Night Private Preview 2018

On Jan. 17, Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit hosted a private preview for Industry Night of the North American International Auto Show. A dinner at the Chef's Table at the Foundation Hotel followed the event. Detroit influencers, including Goodwill automotive partners, were in attendance.

Winter Gala 2017

On Dec. 9, the Italian Bar Association of Michigan hosted its 86th annual Winter Gala at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, gelato tasting, and more. Proceeds from the event benefitted Friends of Foster Kids, a Michigan non-profit that supports the community's foster kids.

Fontbonne Auxiliary White Christmas Ball 2017

On Dec. 8, St. John's Fontbonne Auxiliary hosted its 64th annual White Christmas Ball at the Detroit Athletic Club. Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, and more. Proceeds from the event benefitted St. John Hospital.

Jumanji Movie Premiere

On Dec. 19, the Jo Elyn Nyman Anchors Programs for Children held two jungle-themed movie premieres for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at the Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor and at the Celebration! North Cinema in Grand Rapids. Attendees enjoyed a VIP reception, a screening of the movie, and a post-premiere hot chocolate street party. The fundraiser benefitted the organization, which is Michigan's only statewide pediatric hospice and advanced illness support program.

St. Joe's Holiday Ball 2017

On Dec. 2, St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hosted its annual holiday ball at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center in Ypsilanti. Over 900 guests attended the Paradise Ball - A Night in Shangri-La, and enjoyed cocktails, dinner prepared by Forte Belanger, and performances by Intrigue. Proceeds from the black tie event benefitted St. Joe's palliative care program.

On Dec. 2, Ronald McDonald House Detroit hosted its annual Holiday Tea. Guests enjoyed tea and other holiday festivities at the Detroit Marriott in the Renaissance Center. The yearly event featured live music from Kimmie Horne, a fashion show, and more. Proceeds benefitted Ronald McDonald House Detroit.

A.C.E. Awards & Chairman's Scholarship Gala 2017

On Dec. 8, the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council held its 34th annual ACE Awards in combination with the 40th biennial Chairman's Scholarship Gala. The prestigious business event was held in the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Attendees enjoyed a grand reception, dinner, and dessert. Minority business enterprises and college students were presented awards and scholarships.

Acclaimed Holiday Schmooze 2017

On Dec. 6, Acclaimed Charity hosted its 9th annual Holiday Schmooze at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. Guests enjoyed dinner, silent auctions, dancing, and more. Proceeds benefited the United World Mission's Ugandan Mobile Medical Mission, which provides support for the villages in Uganda.

On Oct. 25, Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) held its Steps to Success event on the second floor of Cost Plus Wine Shop at Detroit's Eastern Market. SOCK Dinner 2017

On Oct. 27, Capuchin Soup Kitchen held its annual Support Our Capuchin Kitchen (SOCK) dinner at Cobo Center Grand River Ballroom in Detroit. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, dinner, silent auctions, and more. An Afterglow reception continued the night's festivities. Proceeds benefitted the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, providing food, clothing, and assistance to those in need.

Rugiero Casino Royale 2017

On Oct. 28, the Rugiero Promise Foundation held its 7th annual Casino Royale at the Ford Community & Arts Center in Dearborn. The charity event featured an open bar, strolling dinner, and a performance by The Toppermost Band. Guests danced and placed bets in various casino games. Proceeds benefitted the Rugiero Promise Foundation in its effort to find a cure for diabetes.

Dutton Farm's Fashion Show 2017

On Oct. 22, Dutton Farm held its 5th annual fashion show at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. Guests and models dressed in trends from their favorite decades. Attendees enjoyed strolling hors d'oeurves, drinks, desserts, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefitted the nonprofit's special needs employment program, providing dignified employment to people of all abilities.

Judge Damon J. Keith 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration 2017

On Oct. 28, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History celebrated Judge Damon J. Keith's 50 years of service on the federal bench. The black-tie optional event featured live music by The Gabriel Brass Band and Jimmy McKee & The Upsetters, dinner, and a dessert reception. Proceeds benefitted the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne Law and the museum.

Top Docs Party 2017

On Oct. 26, Hour Detroit's 12th Annual Top Docs Party was held at the Gem Theatre in Detroit. The professionals named on the 2017 Top Docs list celebrated with their colleagues and enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and live entertainment.

A Night to R.E.M.ember 2017

On Oct. 20, Sweet Dreamzzz Inc. hosted its annual A Night to R.E.M.ember event. The fundraiser was held on the cobblestone streets of the Detroit Historical Museum, and featured live and silent auctions, a signature 'Heads or Tails' event, and more. Proceeds benefitted Sweet Dreamzzz, educating disadvantaged kids and families about healthy sleeping habits.

Taste of Southfield 2017

On Oct. 10, the 2017 Taste of Southfield was held at the Southfield Town Center Atrium. Presented by the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the premier event featured samplings from 20 local restaurants, shopping from local vendors, and an Edible Creations competition. A portion of the proceeds benefitted the American Heart Association.

St. Mary Mercy Livonia Gala 2017

On Oct. 13, St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital held its 25th annual fundraising gala at the Laurel Manor in Livonia. The gala was themed after Cirque de la Vie and featured dinner, auctions, and circus performers. This year's event raised $250,000 for the Healthy Livonia initiative, providing the community opportunities to get and stay healthy.

Women of Vision Benefit Luncheon 2017

On Oct. 10, the National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Detroit Section, held its Women of Vision benefit luncheon. The annual event took place at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield and featured New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner as the guest speaker. Proceeds from the event supported programs of the National Council of Jewish Women/Greater Detroit.

Wine & Dine in the D 2017

On Oct. 12, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation held its Wine & Dine in the D event at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. Guests enjoyed a strolling dinner featuring dishes from 24 of metro Detroit's finest restaurants and live entertainment by Ursula Walker/Buddy Budson Quintet. Proceeds benefited the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

Royal Starr Film Festival 2017

From October 12-15, Royal Starr hosted its annual international film festival in downtown Royal Oak. The four-day event featured film screenings, VIP events, and community activities. The Royal Starr Film Festival screened short, feature, and documentary films, and awarded prizes to filmmakers in the community.

Art Foundation Grand Opening 2017

On Oct. 12, artist Tony Roko celebrated the grand opening of Art Foundation at The Warehouse Studio in Plymouth. The event featured a strolling dinner prepared by Chef Joe Nader, Atwater Brewing Company's Roko labeled brews, and dessert by Chef Scott Breazeale. Art Foundation is a nonprofit organization that fosters creative minds for at-risk children.

Victory Gala 2017

On Oct. 12, The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial held its Victory Gala at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market. The event was hosted by FOX 2 Detroit's Sherry Margolis and honored WWII veterans. Guests enjoyed a strolling dinner, silent and live auctions, live entertainment, and more. Proceeds from the gala supported the building of The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial in Memorial Park in Royal Oak.

Eastern Market Harvest Gala 2017

On Oct. 13, Eastern Market held its annual Harvest Gala inside Shed 3. Guests enjoyed a "farm to fork" meal prepared by Grey Ghost's Chef John Vermiglio, live entertainment, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefitted the Eastern Market and its mission to provide access to fresh food, accelerate the development of food entrepreneurs, and enhance the public market experience.

Branches Crew Benefit Gala 2017

On Oct. 6, Branches Crew hosted its Inaugural Benefit gala. The "Streets of Detroit" themed event took place in the Detroit Historical Museum. Guests sipped cocktails, enjoyed a strolling dinner, and wandered the Streets of Old Detroit exhibit. The gala raised funds for Branches Crew, a nonprofit that supports underprivileged kids in Macomb and Oakland County.

Toasting Hope Tasting Event 2017

Grape Expectations for Kids 2017

On Sept. 28, The Guidance Center hosted its Grape Expectations for Kids Wine Pairing Dinner at the Colony Club Detroit. Guests enjoyed fine cuisine, a silent auction and live musical entertainment. Proceeds benefited the Kids-TALK Children Advocacy Center, a community-based program that serves children through 17 years of age, providing comprehensive services to suspected child victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, or other forms of psychological trauma, including witness to violent crimes.

Meadow Brook Hall's Gourmet Wild Game Dinner 2017

On Sept. 28, Meadow Brook Hall hosted its 12th annual Wild Game Dinner and Auction. Guests enjoyed a four-course wild or mild game dinner prepared by Executive Chef Patrick Gazzarato, live and silent auctions, cocktails, and more. Proceeds benefitted the interpretation and preservation of the National Historic Landmark.

Career Mastered Power + Worth Mixology 2017

On Sept. 26, Career Mastered hosted its Power & Worth Women's Mixology event at the Federal Reserve Bank in Detroit. During the invite-only event, guests enjoys cocktails, conversation, and a panel featuring women setting the stage for advancing women's leadership and careers. Panelists included Amanda Lewan, co-founder of Bamboo Detroit; Anika Jackson, president at Jackson Land Holding Co.; and Gail Perry-Mason, senior director of investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. Proceeds benefited Excel Village Youth whose mission is to create winning futures by mentoring and providing career planning to girls in grades 5th-12th.

On Sept. 15, Macomb Community College Foundation hosted its 4th annual Comedy and Cocktails event at the Lorenzo Cultural Center in Clinton Township. Guests were treated to cocktails, appetizers, a raffle and silent auctions, a seated dinner, and a performance by Forbidden Broadway. Proceeds benefitted the arts and cultural programming of Macomb Community College.

Uncork for a Cure 2017

On Sept. 14, University of Michigan hosted its 2nd annual Uncork for a Cure. The sold out event was held at Bacco Ristorante in Southfield. Guests enjoyed delectable dishes created by several James Beard Foundation Award nominees, including Luciano Del Signore, James Rigato, and Andy Hollyday, as well as Bacco Ristorante's executive chef, Gabriel Botezan. Guests uncorked fine wine provided by Madeline Triffon, the master sommelier of Plum Market. Proceeds from the event supported the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center Breast Oncology Program and the breast oncology surgical fellowship, which assists patient care and research.

Ted Lindsay Foundation Celebrity Golf Outing 2017

On Sept. 11, the Ted Lindsay Foundation hosted its 17th Annual Celebrity Golf Outing at the Detroit Golf Club. Attendees played on the the driving range and the putting green, participated in an 18-hole scramble, and bid in live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event benefitted the foundation and it's mission to support research and educational programs focusing on the cause and management of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

New Day Hope Shines Gala 2017

On Sept. 8, New Day Foundation for Families hosted its annual Hope Shines Gala inside Shed 5 at Eastern Market in Detroit. Guests enjoyed dinner and music, as well as live and silent auctions. Proceeds benefitted the New Day Foundation and its mission to provide financial assistance and emotional support to cancer patients and their families.
