Big Rock Chop and Brew HouseCategories:
Essential Information
245 S. Eton
Birmingham, MI 48009 248-647-7774 An old railroad station makes a great setting for a restaurant, even when its theme veers away from ride-the-rails style for plush mountain lodge. It's been a Wine Spectator award winner for several years, and there is also an in-house brewery. Its massive mahogany bar topped with animal sculptures and rustic light fixtures offers prime see-and-be-seen seating. Of the 18 entrees, 10 are red meat, in portions ranging from the relatively dainty filet to the huge porterhouse and double-cut rib lamb chops, with such accompaniments as roasted fingerling potatoes. Got Rocks, a separate but equally plush cigar and martini bar upstairs, has its own entrance. The patio is especially attractive in suitable weather. L & D Mon.-Sat.
