Dedicated proprietors Rina Tonon and son Adrian ensure that seasoned pros are working the doors and floors. If romance is the goal of the meal - and Adrian is particularly adept at picking up on this - you'll be guided through suitable selections like prosciutto di Parma stuffed with field greens and buffalo mozzarella; perhaps calamari al sugo, tender squid pan-sauteed with fresh Marzano pomodori, handmade gnocchi with porcini mushrooms and truffle oil; and grilled imported prawns finished with lemon, white wine and aromatic herbs. Then for something sweet, zabaglione, the foamy concoction of whipped egg yolks, Marsala and sugar or crepes with mascarpone, creme Anglaise and a reduction of Sicilian blood orange juice.
