The tiny space tucked back from the sidewalk in downtown Clawson seats 35 indoors for a creative approach to breakfast and lunch. The specialty is the frittata of the title. It starts with three eggs, herbs, shallots and white wine, with the addition of such items as wild mushrooms, cheeses, sausage and prosciutto. Some dishes may sound prosaic - French toast, pancakes and eggs Benedict, for instance - but the execution and presentation rise above the ordinary. The mid-day menu includes dressed-up salads; sandwiches on lawash or ciabatta; and a soup and pasta of the day. B & L Tue.-Sun.
