This spot is notable for a lush, enclosed courtyard setting, outdoor bar, as well as lovely simple dining room with a large inside bar. The menu runs the gamut of fine traditional Italian dining: fish, foul, meat, and pastas. Daily specials also are good. Pastas are exceptional. Recommended is the lake perch in white wine sauce; veal scaloppini with artichokes; and veal medallions in a Barolo wine-and-porcini sauce. Also worth trying: half-moon shaped ravioli stuffed with white Alba truffles and served with a basil sauce; a gnocchi Piedmontese-style with a four-cheese sauce; and a linguine with clams and mussels in olive oil, white wine, and a rich tomato sauce.
