One of the area’s better fine-dining restaurants in an informal, casual setting, with pleasant, attentive service and excellent food. Located in a row of brick storefronts, Logan’s orange- and soft-green interior gives off an inviting Edward Hopperesque nightscape feel in the evening. Its three partners all worked their way through Zingerman’s, and then developed Logan slowly and carefully. The menu is New American with strong French culinary influences: pan-fried sweetbreads with braised endive and a hoisin sauce topped with toasted pistachios and bits of applewood-smoked bacon. There’s also a lobster roll with a crisp, light exterior filled with fresh lobster, pickled daikon, and sautéed cabbage, and a creamy aromatic sauce, as well as wild Texas boar Bolognese on housemade pappardella.
