21st Annual Race for The Cure set for May 26

Date

May 26, 2012
8:00 am

Description

The 21st Annual Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure, locally presented by the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, is scheduled for 8 a.m. May 26 at Comerica Park in Midtown Detroit.

Join us for a 5K run/walk or one-mile walk as we celebrate survivors and co-survivors, and honor lost loved ones. Together we will raise funds and make an impact on breast cancer, while enjoying the holiday weekend.

Komen Detroit has raised and invested more than $21 million, but there is still work to be done. Of the funds raised, 75 percent of the net proceeds help local breast cancer programs in the metro Detroit community and the
remaining 25 percent raised go toward national breast cancer research. You can make a difference by donating, racing, walking or volunteering.
