Oct 9, 2009
The 37th annual SOCK (Support Our Capuchin Kitchen) dinner will take place October 9, at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center from 6 to 9 p.m. with an Afterglow event, Second Helping, immediately following. The Afterglow event is targeted to metro Detroit’s Generation X and Y community. Tickets for SOCK are $250 and include silent auction, dinner, open bar and program – the party continues for those already in attendance to the Afterglow where live entertainment by That 80’s Band will be provided.
Those interested only in the Afterglow, Second Helping, may purchase a ticket for $50, which includes entertainment, two drinks and dessert bar. Free parking is available in the Beaubien Street garage. All proceeds benefit Capuchin Soup Kitchen which was founded in 1929 and serves metro Detroit by providing food, clothing and spiritual counsel to those in need. Last year’s SOCK dinner raised more than $370,000.
