The Michigan Parkinson Foundation’s 2017 Moon River Cruise sets sail on Thursday, Aug. 24, providing a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a spectacular evening cruising on the Ovation, Michigan’s premier luxury yacht. Enjoy cocktails, strolling gourmet dinner, spectacular views, live music, and dancing by the light of the August moon overhead. It will be a night to remember while supporting a foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for people in Michigan who live with Parkinson’s disease. Boarding begins at 6 p.m. and the boat leaves the dock at 6:30 p.m. for a three-hour cruise. The Michigan Parkinson Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the 35,000 Parkinson’s patients in Michigan today. It provides training for caregivers and family members; financial assistance for costly medications and adult respite care; legal guidance; patient and professional education programs; counseling; referrals for medical resources; support groups throughout Michigan; and grants to fund research that will lead to improved clinical care.
