Benefit on the Bay is commemorating its 24th year of assisting the Capuchin Soup Kitchen Friday, Aug. 25, at MacRay Harbor, located on Lake St. Clair in Harrison Township. Over $1.38 million has been raised for the Capuchin ministry, which feeds the hungry and serves the poor. One hundred percent of all proceeds for the event will go to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Organizer Mike Schodowski’s second-generation family-owned business, Shelving.com, will be underwriting the entire cost of the event. The benefit will feature two bands, a live auction, silent auction, and drawings. Tickets are $65 per person and include appetizers, dinner, dancing, beer, wine, and desserts. Tickets can be purchased through the Capuchin Soup Kitchen by phone, 313-579-2100 ext. 153 or 170. For more information, visit CSKDetroit.org or BenefitOnTheBay.org.
