CARE of Southeastern Michigan’s sixth annual Ride 4 Recovery will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30, at Maniaci’s Banquet Center located at 69227 Main St. in Richmond. The all-ages bike ride will take place on the nearby Macomb Orchard Trail 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Lined with wildflowers and trees, the scenic Macomb Orchard Trail is a paved path that stretches from Richmond to Shelby Township. Riders can choose from four different routes: 10, 25, 40, and 62 miles for the metric century. For the first time, this year the ride will join Macomb and Oakland counties together, as the 62-mile route will take riders along the Clinton River Trail. Ride 4 Recovery is more than a bike ride and offers something for everyone.
Riders and non-riding supporters and their children will enjoy a barbecue, a bike parade, a visit from Jimmy John’s Field/United Shores Baseball League mascots, a bounce house, music, and bike decorating fun. All proceeds raised will go towards CARE programs and services, which help to strengthen and educate communities and individuals in living healthy, substance free lives. Adult and virtual rider registration is $50. Children (12 and younger) ride free. To register, donate, or become a featured event sponsor, visit
