The ACS Foundation — along with its corporate
sponsor, Acclaimed Home Care — is proud to kick off this holiday season with its Acclaimed Holiday Schmooze/10th Anniversary Black & White Ball 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. This “beautiful people” and highly anticipated social event has sold out since 2011. It includes a first-class strolling feast, open bar, and dancing to the music of the Killer Flamingos. Lori Herbert of the Anthony Herbert Foundation will be presented 2018’s Catalina Andres Humanitarian Award. In January 2017, Lori lost her 20-year-old son Anthony to an undiagnosed heart condition that was never picked up during his many sports physicals. He was the starting left guard for
the Northern Michigan University football team.
Lori and her family have since become strong
advocates for student heart check screenings and raising awareness of the need for cardiac testing among our youth. This “Dress to Impress in Black & White Gala” will benefit the Twin Hearts Medical/Surgical Mission in the Philippines. This mission will bring medical
supplies and care, provide surgeries, and assist with emotional trauma, therapy, health education, and assistance to the people in Cordoba. For more information, email Karen Katko at firstname.lastname@example.org or purchase tickets by credit card at acclaimedcharity.com.
