Feasts in June will complete the spring roster of the 30th season of the signature Musical Feasts series presented by the Volunteer Council of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2, an unusual and interactive event, “Recorded Live!” is planned at a world-famous private recording studio in Ferndale,
where a bassoon quartet from the DSO will be performing and recording a gift CD for each guest to take home. Appropriate informal strolling buffet will be catered by Atomic Dawg and Sausage Emporium. In contrast to this casual event, on Sunday, June 25, an Italian Spring Fling is set in Bloomfield Hills at an elegant contemporary home furnished with ceramics, photography, basketry, turned wood
vessels, paintings, and more. A performance by two of the DSO’s gifted string musicians and an elaborate dinner buffet are part of this special occasion. Musical Feasts is an unparalleled festival of fine dining and musical entertainment,
made possible by generous hosts and incomparable DSO musicians in distinctive
venues throughout metro Detroit. Preview the entire Musical Feast season at DSO.org/support/volunteercouncil. For reservations, call the Volunteer Council office at 313-576-5154.
