Mariners Inn will host an open house for the community on Friday, May 19, 4:00 – 7:00 pm, at 445 Ledyard, Detroit. The event, hosted by the nonprofit homeless shelter and rehabilitation center for men, is open to all, and will include music, food, and tours of Mariners Inn’s facilities, adjacent to the future home of the Detroit Red Wings, just north of I-75 in the Cass Corridor. Community members are welcome to attend the complimentary event to learn more about the mission of Mariners Inn and to tour the agency’s award-winning programs, which include residential treatment, transitional and permanent housing, vocational services, and family programs. Led by David Sampson, LMSW, CEO, whom attendees will be able to meet at the event, Mariners Inn serves over 1500 men and families per year, with 93 cents of every dollar donated to the organization used directly to support programs. For more information about the event or to RSVP, contact Stephanie Maurice at 313-962-9446 (ext. 230) or visit www.marinersinn.org.
