The Belinda Sue Fund for Ovarian Cancer Awareness and Research Inc. will be hosting its Sixth Annual Zoo Walk on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Detroit Zoo. This noncompetitive walk will be approximately 1 mile long meandering through the zoo.
It will be a great outing for the community to increase awareness of ovarian cancer and fund early detection research. There will be activities and entertainment, including a short post-walk program with prizes and recognition.
And everyone will have the benefit of enjoying an entire day at the zoo. Tickets are $35 (15 years and older) and $25 (2-14 years).
The Belinda Sue Fund was founded in 2011. Its mission is to increase public awareness of ovarian cancer and to support research organizations in finding an effective ovarian cancer screening tool. For more information, visit belindasuefund.org.
