Ready for Takeoff

Kuhnhenn’s much-anticipated production brewery and taproom in Clinton Township will help satisfy demand

Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. will open the doors to their new facility in Clinton Township Feb. 29 at 11:00 am.

The new 45,000 square-foot facility at 36000 Groesbeck includes a 280-seat taproom, a full kitchen, the brewery’s production facility, and a distillery.

The original location at 5919 Chicago Rd. in Warren will remain open and continue to produce small-batch beers.

This move sets Kuhnhenn up to be able to brew a greater volume to satisfy the demand for distribution in bar and retail space. The brewers expect to hit an annual output of 20,000 barrels of beer.

Initially, the new facility will be brewing product for on-tap accounts only. Bottled and canned products will eventually hit retail spaces after distributors, bars, and restaurants are stocked.

The kitchen will be creating a menu that consists of artisan sausages, charcuterie and cheese boards, and small plate items to complement the house-made craft beverages.

Kuhnhenn continues to positively impact the local economy, as 64 new jobs were created to staff the new facility, bringing their total to 105 hourly and salaried employees between both locations.
