Bicolandia: Sarap at the Farmer’s Hand

Back from the Philippines with inspiration in hand, Sarap co-owners Dorothy Hernandez and Jake Williams will be hosting another family-style dinner celebrating the food of Bicol, the Philippine province where Hernandez’s mother is from, using local ingredients. A winter green salad, crispy dilis (anchovies), taro leaf-stuffed porchetta, ginataang gulay (vegetables braised in coconut milk), and more highlight the menu. $50. 7 p.m. March 4. International Women’s Day Dinner

Honor the women in your life with a five-course meal from Dr. Sushi, Tribalfare, Peace Meal Kitchen, and Warda Patisserie. As part of on ongoing dinner series prepared by some of Detroit’s top chefs, Grey Ghost will take to Shed 5 in Eastern Market for a four-course meal, paired with signature cocktails on tap. A Cold Day In Hell

Past contestants of Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen including Kim Ryan, Christine Hazel, Barrett Beyer, Hassan Musselmani, and Jared Bobkin will come together to prepare a six-course meal at Cuisine in Detroit. At the Royce’s premiere pop-up event, chef Warung Keke will serve a four-course Indonesian meal complete with satay, made with seasoned grilled meat, and spicy beef rendang.
