Very Cool Ice
Any way you cut it, Ahee’s diamond necklace is brilliant
Talk about an anniversary gift.
The family-owned Edmund T. Ahee Jewelers is commemorating 60 years in business and, for the occasion, they’ve created a suitably memorable bauble — a dazzling 100 carats’ worth. Ahee’s Blanc et Noir celebratory necklace sports round brilliant-cut diamonds surrounding a 46.66-carat black diamond attached to a double strand of briolette-cut black diamonds. The retail price? A cool $74,000. The families descending from the late Edmund T. Ahee and his wife, Bettejean, wanted to do something different to recognize the hard work and success they’ve shared since Edmund started the business in 1947. The one-of-a-kind piece is on display at Ahee’s, 20139 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods.
