“I’m a huge fan of SELDEN STANDARD,” says Brennan Calnin, formerly the executive chef at Townhouse Detroit. “I live two blocks away, and I ate there quite a bit when they first opened. I always make sure to order the grilled scallions with romesco. Simplicity at its finest.” Another favorite is “Chartreuse and eating all the vegetables on Chef Doug (Hewitt)’s menu. But in particular whatever he has in from Michelle Lutz over at Recovery Park.” He also loves going to Rock City Eatery in Hamtramck for “Nikita’s green beans with cashews, cilantro, and some sort of soy caramel alchemy thing. It’s fantastic.”
