Both Kyle Van Strein and Robyn Cleveland say aquavit is a drink best enjoyed chilled. However, cocktails allow for endless creativity. Lime works very well with either product. Van Strein recommends a twist on the classic Gimlet. Consider adding aquavit to your home bar or test it during your next bar outing. You’ll be ahead of the curve and drinking hundreds of years of history. Budmo! (“Cheers” in Ukrainian).

Ingredients
2 ounces aquavit
1 ounce lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup

Directions

Shake with ice, strain into a martini glass, and garnish with a lime wheel. The latter lets the caraway flavor come out.
