16th Annual Great Lakes Great Wine Walk Around Tasting

Area Events Offers a Wide Selection of Regional Wine and Foods

Delicious fare from Detroit area country clubs and restaurants are matched up with wines from the Great Lakes region for a spectacular event this Thursday, May 17 at Oakland Community College. The 16th annual event raises funds for the Culinary Studies Institute, providing scholarships and travel for students of award-winning competition teams.

The walk-around-style tasting event offers more than 500 wines from Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Ontario, making it a great opportunity to get to know our regional flavors. Enjoy live entertainment while sipping wines and sampling gourmet fare from the Detroit Athletic Club, Oakland Hills Country Club, Walnut Creek Country Club, Orchard Lake Country Club, Country Club of Detroit, Roadside B&G, Steve and Rocky's, Dirty Dog Jazz Café, Ocean Prime, Bloomfield Hunt Club, Ridley's Bakery Café, and a large selection from the Culinary Studies Institute at Oakland Community College.

Cost is $50 per person, and ticket information is included in the Culinary Studies Institute Events Brochure, online here. The event, which runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m., is held on the third floor of the J-Building at Oakland Community College, Orchard Ridge Campus in Farmington Hills.
