The Detroit Historical Society held its Historical Society Ball at the Lexus Velodrome on Dec. 8. The black-tie event garnered donations for the museum’s educational initiatives to expand its award-winning programming to serve high school students and help design an intergenerational curriculum.
On Nov. 29, Kendra Scott hosted their Twelve Oaks’ storefront grand opening. Attendees enjoyed cocktails, sweets, and 20 percent off all of purchases, with proceeds benefiting charity Fleece & Thank You.
On Dec. 1, the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan hosted its 14th annual Kidney Ball at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. Guests participated in live and silent auctions that raised funds for the organization to prevent kidney disease and improve the lives of those living with it.
St. Joe’s Holiday Ball, presented by St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital, was held at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center on Dec. 1. Attendees contributed towards strengthening St. Joseph’s cancer care program, as well as rebuilding and expanding its Cancer Center.
On Nov. 19th, Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) kicked off the holiday season with its 35th annual Detroit Aglow at the MGM Grand Detroit. Funds raised at the event support DDP’s mission to grow, strengthen and maintain budding businesses in Detroit.
