Real Estate All Stars 2018

There’s an undeniable shortage of available real estate in the market across the country, but what does that mean for metro Detroit? This inventory shortage is making it a great time to sell your home, with sellers seeing multiple competitive offers at top dollar. Sellers also must know this inventory shortage is not stopping the eager buyers of metro Detroit, either. Median sales prices are up over 20 percent from this same time last year, and total pending deals increased an average of 4 percent in Macomb, Wayne, Oakland, St. Clair, and Livingston counties since this same time last year. Buyers are out there and ready; they simply need more inventory. So where do buyers and sellers start? Well, knowing who has experience as the top licensed real estate professionals in metro Detroit helps buyers and sellers make the most informed decision.

For Hour Media to determine a representative sample of the top licensed real estate professionals in metro Detroit, the company turned to MiRealSource in Troy. MiRealSource conducted research on agents, which represents a sample of approximately the top 5 percent of agents based on their total closed volume for 2017.

MiRealSource helps real estate brokers’ listing data become available to the public sites consumers frequent to browse homes, such as Realtor.com, Zillow, and Trulia. MiRealSource also offers their agents a strongly desired and popular consumer tool called Homesnap, which allows buyers or sellers to search the multiple listing service (MLS) themselves with live data under their preferred agent.

“Being a seller in today’s market is of value; however, I think we’ll see some balance in the housing inventory soon. More sellers will begin to list their homes and there’s been a steady increase of nearly 10 percent in new listings hitting the market in new construction since 2013 — just in the MLS,” says Taylor Fedewa, MiRealSource’s director of communications and photography.

The licensed real estate professionals who granted permission to be featured are named in the Real Estate All-Star list. Hiring an agent like those listed, with their level of experience and access to the best tools, can provide clients with the most accurate data, making one’s homeselling or home-buying experience a positive one.

MiRealSource and Hour Media are honored to share this list of outstanding licensed real estate professionals and recognize their hard work and success over the past year. Even though there are many agents in metro Detroit who deserve to be recognized, this list is a representative sample of the industry leaders.
