Irene Grabowski is president and CEO of Business System Solutions & Strategies, INC. of Dearborn. I've met CEOs who have declined bidding opportunities because they fear their compliance department might not pass muster with one new client or another, and they worry about how that discovery would affect so many other contracts they do hold. I can also think of at least one situation where they entered a contract with full confidence only to find out their system was flawed … and that cost them more than just the one contract.
