Years ago, Dolores Baran, D.D.S., ushered in a new way to provide dentistry and was labeled a "Dentist for the 21st century." "Most gum reconstruction involves taking tissue from the roof of the mouth and grafting it, which can cause pain. I use donor tissue, and there's no pain involved. Patients who have had it done are amazed," Dr. Baran says. Gum reconstruction is often necessary for patients who brush their teeth too aggressively. Brushing too hard can lead to the appearance of long teeth, or can cause teeth to be overly sensitive to cold foods and drinks.

The other exciting procedure Dr. Baran recently introduced is an appliance for minor tooth movement, or MTM. When one or two teeth are out of alignment, MTM helps reshape the smile for a fraction of the cost. "This is the perfect procedure if you've had braces and just a couple of teeth have moved out of place. It's faster than Invisalign and only requires one retainer," Dr. Baran says.

With more than 20 years of cosmetic and general dentistry experience, Dr. Baran continues to be on the cutting edge and is considered one of the top Lumineers dentists in the nation. Her award-winning, state-of-the-art office includes digital X-rays and a CAD-CAM CEREC machine, which makes crowns in the office during a patient's visit. Most dental procedures, including implants, root canals, and Invisalign are provided.
