When it comes to St. Patrick’s Day revelry, Old Shillelagh knows how to throw a party

When it comes to St. Patrick’s Day revelry, Old Shillelagh knows how to throw a party. On the day everyone is Irish, try this twist on a classic: the Irish Mule. Whiskey — it has to be Jameson Black Barrel Whiskey, per the directions of the Greektown institution — subs in for the usual vodka used in the Moscow Mule. Sláinte!

Ingredients

Ice
1½ ounces Jameson Black Barrel Whiskey
¾ ounce lime juice
Ginger beer
Lime slice for garnish

Directions

Fill a copper mug (or glass) with ice. Pour in the whiskey and lime juice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with lime.
