BOLERO LATIN CUISINE /// The menu spans countries from Spain to Argentina, offering traditional paella, a list of shareable tapas, grilled Argentinean skirt steak, and grilled salmon in a dining room dominated by a dramatic painting of a couple dancing the tango. Vicente Vasquez and Roberto Caceres of downtown’s Vicente’s Cuban Cuisine are the owner and executive chef, respectively. Sangria is the house drink, handsomely served by a well-dressed staff. 51 W. Forest Ave., Detroit; 313-800-5059. L & D daily. $20

EATORI MARKET /// This stylish spot overlooking downtown’s Capitol Park combines two facets of dining: service and shopping. It’s a strong trend and Zak Yatim and business partner, Samer Ghafari, saw it coming. For those who prefer to dine in, the menu has such offerings as charcuterie and cheese, steamed mussels with leeks, garlic and chardonnay cream, fresh oysters, and a notable burger. International flourishes abound with such touches as truffle aioli for the burger and habanero umami paste for the oysters. It’s a menu that’s not easily categorized. The market in the rear has prepared foods as well as grocery items and nearby apartment dwellers are appreciating the choice. 1215 Griswold St., Detroit; 313-395-3030. L & D daily. $20
