On June 17, the third annual "See What Stacey Started" group art show was hosted at the Phoenix Café in Hazel Park benefiting the Michigan Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The evening featured art from the cafe's Tuesday night figure drawing sessions, live music, and more. The sessions were inspired by Stacey Skiera who passed away at a young age due to complications from MS.
On June 16, the Detroit Entertainment District Association and Detroit 300 Conservancy hosted the second annual Grand Circus Gala in Grand Circus Park. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeurves, classic lawn games, and live music. Proceeds benefited programs and improvements in the park.
On June 18, Capuchin Soup Kitchen held their 35th annual Souper Summer Celebration, themed "Totally 80s," at Comerica Park. Guests enjoyed live entertainment, food, drinks, a raffle, and more. All proceeds benefited the organization and their efforts to feed the hungry.
On June 17, Sacred Heart Major Seminary held it's annual Archbishop's Gala in the Riverview Ballroom at Cobo Center in Detroit. Guests enjoyed dinner, live entertainment, a raffle, and more. Proceeds supported the seminary, which prepares and educates future priest, deacons, and lay ministers.
