Hot Spot: New Hellas

2912

Food memories can be deceiving, but many people are trying to revive theirs at the new New Hellas, a re-working of the original Greektown classic now transplanted to Farmington Hills by Tony Hadjisofroniou and Demetrios Papatriantafillou. The extensive menu of Greek dishes includes old favorites like spinach pie, the chicken, lemon, egg, and rice soup, moussaka, and a bevy of lamb dishes. The setting is considerably more glamorous with romantic murals of Greek scenery. And it’s huge, seating more than 200. If it follows in the footsteps of the original, it will be around for 107 years. 32729 Northwestern Hwy., Farmington Hills; 248-702-6999. L & D daily.
