Political Spots

Michigan took a back seat in the recent presidential primary season, no thanks to the vagaries of party politics. But the general-election campaign shenanigans did include a fun Michigan detail. Paris Hilton’s faux paid-political ad (the one that tweaked McCain for his “Obama celebrity” commercial) featured the famous blonde in an animal-print one-piece, navel-baring swimsuit created by metro Detroit swimwear designer Trisha Geftos. The same suit will make a cameo when Holly Madison wears it in a November episode of The Girls Next Door. Bathing beauties who’d like to shed their political stripes in favor of more fetching metallic leopard may custom-order the Geftaki Animal Attraction Monokini for $136 at geftaki.com. Saks Fifth Avenue in Troy plans to carry it next season.
