Telly time: Social Kitchen’s TV Dinner: Bacon-wrapped meatloaf, smashed potatoes, coleslaw, corn, cheddar-and-green onion biscuits, and banana pudding.

STERLING’S BISTRO:

Classic dishes such as chicken pot pie, filet mignon, and herb-crusted prime rib share the menu with fish tacos and flatbread pizzas from the stone hearth oven. The beef may be ordered in a choice of portion sizes, something that also applies to wines by the glass. Those are nice touches at this attractive spot, which also includes Michigan artworks on the walls. The combination of style, service, and value has given it a place on the local dining map.

SOCIAL KITCHEN & BAR:

The energetic spot with its open bi-level setting allows guests a view of the action in the kitchen as well as in the airy dining space. But this place offers more than just the scene. Besides its upbeat vibe, it has a creative and varied menu typified by steamed mussels, shrimp lettuce wraps, grilled scallops, and such sandwiches as grilled cheese on naan, the Indian bread. Topping  the price scale is Wagyu New York strip with house fries.
