Gridiron Glory football exhibit hits the Henry Ford
1986

Whether in reality or fantasy, football reigns supreme in this country. And as the Pro Football Hall of Fame marks its 50th anniversary, The Henry Ford hosts the traveling exhibit Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The exhibit features hundreds of artifacts spanning the history of America’s favorite sport, from the helmets of pioneering legends to the memorabilia of modern icons like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. There’s also an interactive instant replay booth, a helmet rigged with player-to-coach communication, and the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

A special hometown tribute to the Detroit Lions will also be on display, complete with a game-worn Barry Sanders jersey and the lingering hope of making the playoffs. The exhibit runs through Jan. 4. Admission is free for members. General admission is $18, $16 for seniors (62 and older), $13.50 for youth (5-12), and free for children ages 4 and younger.
