Cocktail Recipe: The New Bullshot

Published:

History buffs may recall that in 1961, Barbra Streisand was a Caucus Club lounge singer. The club was also a point of origin for another star: the Bullshot (a Bloody Mary with beef stock instead of tomato juice). In the 1950s, it became a coast-to-coast hit. When George Sboukis reopened the legendary club, he didn’t want a “rear-view-mirror” look back. 1 ½ ounces Moletto gin
2 ounces beef bouillon mixture*
¼ ounce lemon juice
2 dashes of balsamic vinegar
Candied bacon for garnish

½ cup onion juice
½ cup carrot juice
½ cup celery juice
1 ½ tablespoons each of salt, sugar, pepper, and minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
