Dancing with the Survivors 2018

On Oct. 5, The Pink Fund hosted its Dancing with the Survivors event at the Silver Garden Events Center in Southfield. The event paired local breast cancer survivors with professional dancers from Astaire Dance Studios, teaching and performing ballroom-style dances. Guests of the fundraising event enjoyed ballroom dances, cocktails, dinner, and more. Proceeds benefited The Pink Fund in its mission to assist local breast cancer patients in active treatment.

Beaumont Red Tie Ball 2018

On Oct. 6, Beaumont Hospital held its annual Red Tie Ball at the Motor City Casino in Detroit. Guests of the 13th annual ball enjoyed cocktails, silent and live auctions, dinner, entertainment by Fifty Amp Fuse, and more. On Sept. 21, Karmanos Cancer Institute held its annual Partners Event at the Michigan Building Theatre in Detroit. Attendees enjoyed an exciting night with a high-end carnival, a strolling cocktail reception and dinner, live entertainment, and more. The 25th annual Partners Night also honored Jack D. Sobel M.D., dean of Wayne State University's School of Medicine. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Cattle Baron's Ball 2018

On Sept. 22, the American Cancer Society held its annual Cattle Baron's Ball at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. Guests dressed in their southwestern best, and enjoyed mechanical bull riding, line dancing, and more. Proceeds from the fundraising gala benefitted the American Cancer Society, helping fund cancer research, patient services, education, and advocacy.

Girls on Track Racing Fundraiser 2018

On Sept. 12, Women of Tomorrow metro Detroit held its Girls on Track Racing Fundraiser at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac. Guests enjoyed food trucks, cocktails, fast cars, and more. Proceeds from the event benefited the Women of Tomorrow metro Detroit program, which helps inspire and empower at-risk women.

Ted Lindsay Foundation Celebrity Golf Outing 2018

On Sept. 10, the Ted Lindsay Foundation held its 18th annual Celebrity Golf Outing at the Detroit Golf Club in Detroit. Attendees golfed on the the driving range and putting green, participated in an 18-hole scramble, and bid in live and silent auctions. Proceeds benefited the foundation and its mission to support research and educational programs focusing on the cause and management of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
