Dynasty Fur Auction

On Jan. 18 at Bricker-Tunis Furs in West Bloomfield, a collection of eight elegant furs worn during the 1980s hit TV series Dynasty was auctioned at a reception, with a percentage of sales benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. Three of the pieces were sold that night with other sales pending. Approximately 40 visitors enjoyed an elegant, fun evening with a dash of Motown – former Motown singer Martha Reeves attended and a D.J. spun tunes from that era of innovative vocals and instrumentation. Charlene Mitchell, host of “Mind Your Business,” was the mistress of ceremonies and auctioneer. Photographs by Sarah Rahal
