4D Lego Movie Red Carpet Premiere

On July 14, the Legoland Discovery Center Michigan hosted a red carpet movie premiere of an all-new 10 minute long version of the Lego Movie, specially formatted for the attraction’s 4D cinema. Guests enjoyed interactive activities, special refreshments, a photo booth, and more.

WC Safe Skyline Cruise 2016

On July 12, the Wayne County Sexual Assault Forensics Examiner's Program, WC Safe, held its annual Skyline Cruise aboard an Infinity and Ovation Yacht. Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner and open bar. All proceeds benefited the organization's direct services which provide compassionate and trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual assault throughout Wayne County.

Ruach! Celebrating Life 2016

On July 11, the Cancer Thrivers Network for Jewish Women held the Ruach! Celebrating Life luncheon and learning event in West Bloomfield. During the luncheon, Dr. Daniel Hayes, President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and international breast cancer expert, shared groundbreaking news in cancer progress and research. The luncheon supported the network's ability to enrich and empower Jewish women living with or diagnosed with cancer through activities, friendship, resources, education, and humor.

Slurping Turtle Charity Ramen Battle

On July 10, Slurping Turtle in Ann Arbor held it's second annual Charity Ramen Battle. Guests enjoyed five bowls from Chef Andy Hollyday of Selden Standard in Detroit, Chef Jared Bobkin of Local Kitchen in Ferndale, Chef David Koshizawa from the International Culinary School at the Art Institute in Novi, Chef Doug Hewitt of Chartreuse in Detroit, and Chef Tadashi Nagura of Slurping Turtle, all competing for $2,000 prize for the charity of their choice.

DSO at Ford House 2016

On July 8 and 9, the Ford House hosted the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for the seventh year. The series opened on Friday with with “Broadway Hits and More,” featuring the DSO and vocal duo, Will and Anthony Nunziata. Each evening concluded with a thrilling fireworks display.
