Why Dressing Well is Important
Being meticulous with my attire and my words are a must. If you invest in yourself, people will invest in you. Look sharp and feel great.
Rick and Ray at Cicchini are absolutely a must for custom – everything. Jen at Dolce Moda for fun and trendy, and Somerset (Collection) to fill in on all the hot designers.
I love the design team at Cicchini. I also love Tom Ford, Armani, Zegna, and Ferragamo, and anything with Loro Piana fabrics.
Craziest Outfit of All Time
I was a Versace addict for a while. I did the whole thing — bright, slick, wild colors and cuts.
A toss-up between a custom 3-piece cashmere midnight-blue, gray chalk-stripe suit and my first custom casual sport outfit with a hunter green linen sport coat, soft-blue custom shirt, and off-white summer cashmere slacks.
Al Pacino in The Godfather, Frank Sinatra in his prime, 007 (all of them), Mad Men, and David Beckham.
When did dressing well become important?
At a very young age my mother and father made it a priority to dress us over the top. Every Christmas, Mom and Dad would go to Saks and see Marty, their favorite salesperson. From my 17th Christmas I still have my first Armani top coat and suit . Mom would glow when I had a suit on.
Style is what you choose, so choose your own style. Enjoy mixing colors. Don’t match everything. Give the khakis and blue blazers the night off as often as you can. Roger that GP? Purchase the best shoes and clothing you can afford and take care of them
