Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle: Beginning his career in 2006, Zoltan Kaszas can be seen performing across the country at clubs, colleges, festivals, contests, and more. Creepy Cheapy: Fifteen bands are expected to perform during this year’s Halloween masquerade. Each local group will play cover songs by larger bands, and will dress in costumes that mirror the musicians they’re performing as. MC5: In celebration of their debut album, which was released in 1968, Wayne Kramer, founder of Detroit punk band MC5, is embarking on the Kick Out the Jams: The 50th Anniversary Tour. Boos and Brews Halloween Bar Crawl: The festive bar crawl, which includes entry into at least seven Detroit venues, features a kick-off party, drink and food specials, live performances by DJs, and more. Halloween at Hogwarts: As part of a Halloween-themed event, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is performing music from the Harry Potter films. Detroit Opera House: A Letter to My Nephew, the latest performance from Bill T. Jones’ dance company, tells the story of the choreographer’s nephew, Lance T. Royal Oak Music Theatre: Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the television comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000 is hitting the road.
